Our commuter bus service is a Job Access project, providing low-income and other residents with affordable and accessible transportation to jobs in Northwest Connecticut.

Now you can get to work in the greater Canaan area!

Northwestern CT Transit District operates the Torrington / Canaan route:
  • Monday through Friday
  • Accommodates (3) shifts
    • (3) times a day
      • in the early morning
      • mid-afternoon
      • late evening
  • From Torrington to Canaan / Lakeville

What Is Job Access?
Job Access is Northwest Connecticut's transportation network offering new and enhanced bus routes in Greater Waterbury, Danbury and Torrington.

Currently, Torrington is running commuter routes to the greater Canaan area.


Who Can Use Job Access?
Job Access transporation is available to the general public, including individuals transitioning off welfare and other eligible low-income individuals.



 
The program is made possible by funding from the Connecticut Department of Social Services through the Northwest Regional Workforce Investment Board and the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) through the Connecticut Department of Transportation.
